Agency Sauce was brought on board by Loughborough Building Society in 2013 after successfully winning a pitch process to deliver a new website. The strategic digital approach of the agency following a period of economic downturn and a general mistrust of banks, was to focus on Loughborough Building Society as being a mutual building society. It was crucial to convey the society’s trusted, personal service attributes creating a clear difference away from the fat cat, profiteer bankers.
Working with insight from their existing website analytics, customer experience feedback and input from the wider team within the Loughborough Building Society, Agency Sauce followed a proven delivery methodology:
- Information architecture for the new site
- Creation of individual personas for each type of website visitor and identifying their wants and needs
- Ensuring smooth user journey so each persona easily finds the information required with clear calls to action.
- Agency Sauce then moved into the creative part of the process with elegant design and copy content
- Upon design and content sign off the website went into development and then delivery.
In 2015, changes in the Loughborough Building Society’s requirements along with increased access by mobile phone users led to a need to revamp the website.
Agency Sauce again utilised its delivery methodology to produce a mobile-first website ensuring Loughborough Building Society reached new demographics for both their savings and mortgages products whilst ensuring the current customer profile wasn’t alienated.
Agency Sauce has provided design and development work on an on-going basis since delivery and additionally worked on an ad-hoc basis with further exciting digital projects.
As the Loughborough Building Society entered its 150th year, this ongoing support included the creation of a special section of the website dedicated to the history and heritage of the Loughborough Building Society resulting in a beautifully executed timeline wall highlighting both global historic key dates as well as those of Loughborough Building Society.
As an existing and trusted partner when the Loughborough Building Society released an innovative new mortgage offering. Agency Sauce was a natural choice for PR support to launch a groundbreaking new product specifically targeting university students utilising parental support to purchase property, rather than going into halls of residence or rental properties.
Agency Sauce created a national, trade and regional PR campaign which saw 30 pieces of coverage placed in publications ranging from the BBC to The Daily Mail and associated regional press titles.
